In line with growing global concerns for pollution standards and environmental preservation, and out of our own sense of responsibility to our eco system; we have invested in our own waste water management plant (Zero Liquid discharge Effluent Treatment Plant), which has been operational from the end of first quarter of 2016. With the ETP-ZLD plant functioning, 100% of our water is treated and reused in leather processing in the Tannery Division.
As to do our part in moving towards clean energy sources to combat global warming; we have invested interests in wind energy. 30–35% of the Tannery Division's power requirement comes from our wind farm, and the balance is met with solar power. Our CTP Division runs on 100% solar power.
